“No Trespassing: Violators will be shot. Survivors will be shot again.”
I’m sure we’ve all seen signs like this, and you may find it funny. But, something as “harmless” as a funny sign you hang outside your door (or even on your car’s bumper) could be considered “evidence” if you were ever forced to defend yourself with a firearm.
Watch this and you’ll see why…
Don’t make the mistake of thinking a jury will just “take your side” in a self-defense situation. And the last thing you want is to protect yourself from a criminal only to end up in prison because you made a simple, common mistake.
If you have a gun for home defense or carry a gun and ready to use it for self defense, its best to always maintain a low profile. That means watching what you post outside your home as well as what you post onto social media. A DA will review your Facebook page or other social media pages and use that against you if you’re posting with the same “shoot-first, ask questions later” attitude.
Always remember, in addition to physical defense, one has to think of legal defense too.
