Does extreme weather affect your aim? While extreme temperature can affect the way your bullet travels or freezing rain can cause barrel contraction and stoppages, the majority of the time the weather will affect the shooter more than the weapon itself. Shivering from the cold, or sweating in the heat will make you miss your shot. So if you practice, practice, practice in extreme weather conditions, the better you will get. Even the Marines include extreme weather in there training. You can check out their training guide. So, go to the range when it’s pouring down rain or snowing and learn to handle these conditions. It will definitely improve your game. The Shooter’s Log has a great article as well. Check it out.
