We’re not going to be walking around with our gun in our hands. What you need in an emergency is shot placement in order to quickly incapacitate an assailant.
On this segment of Personal Defense TV, Richard Nance and Dave Spaulding teach viewers a personal defense range drill known as the 2x2x2 drill. Originally called ‘Skill on Demand’ by a member of the Army Special Forces, this drill teaches one how to deliver multiple shots to vital areas of the body in a short period of time.
2x2x2 stands for firing 2 rounds in 2 seconds from 20 feet away. They use the 3×5 card to represent the heart or ocular cavity, areas needed to hit in order to incapacitate a threat quickly. In his demo, Spaulding successfully fired both rounds into the 3×5 card in 1.8 seconds–impressive stuff!
