Last month, we saw Kimber’s 5 new pistols for Summer 2015, all ranging from compact to full-size.
1) Diamond Ultra II, .45 ACP and 9mm
2) Stainless II, Classic Engraved Edition, .45 ACP
3) Stainless II, Texas Edition
4) Micro Diamond .380 ACP
5) Micro Bel Air, .380 ACP
The “Diamond Ultra II,” available in .45 ACP and 9mm, boasts a mirror-polished slide, delicately engraved scroll accents, ambidextrous thumb safety, tritium night sights, and aluminum ball-milled grips.
The “Stainless II (Classic Engraved Edition)” comes as a .45 ACP and while obviously resembles the silhouette of the full-sized 1911’s, has vine and leaf accents with stipple relief on the frame and slide. The pistol wears high-grade walnut grips with Ivory Micarta checkered inlay.
The “Stainless II (Texas Edition)” gives a huge shout-out to the Lone Star State, limiting production to 500 units and adding the State of Texas with the state flag to the right panel. This firearm has high polished flats on the slide and frame, western leaf and scroll engraving with saw tooth border on the slide, and the 1835 motto, “Come and Take It” on the left bonded ivory grip panel.
The “Micro Diamond” .380 ACP has a mirror-polished slide, delicately engraved scroll accents, ambidextrous thumb safety, tritium night sights and Ivory Micarta ball-milled grips.
The “Micro Bel Air” .380 ACP has the mirror-polished slide, stunning Bel Air Blue finish on the frame and classy Ivory Micarta grips.
